For over forty years, we have been passionately collecting and studying antique Dutch tiles, with a particular focus on tiles from the 17th and 18th centuries.
What began as a personal fascination has grown into an extensive collection and in-depth knowledge of historic tiles.
Tiles with a story
Our interest lies in tiles with unusual scenes, such as ships, animals, landscapes, mythological and Biblical scenes, and intriguing sea creatures, often based on prints from the VOC era. We also find the tulip and tulip bulb particularly fascinating — symbols of the famous tulip mania that led to one of the first financial bubbles in history. Antique Dutch tiles tell stories about the world of the seventeenth century — a time of seafaring, trade and discovery.
With more than four decades of experience, we have developed a keen eye for quality, authenticity and rarity. For us, tiles are not just collectibles, but small works of art that reflect history.
